You’ve come to the right place. Here’s a list of selection criteria that helps keep the collection focused and high quality. Ask these questions:
1. Does it address a real need — spiritual, educational, or practical?
Not everything needs to be revolutionary, but it should offer real benefit. Whether it helps someone stay consistent in prayer, learn Arabic, manage finances ethically, or find halal food. The goal is to solve something meaningful in a Muslim’s daily life.
2. Is it respectful and aligned with Islamic values?
We’re looking for tools that are respectful in how they look, feel, and work. They shouldn’t include anything inappropriate or harmful, and they should be made with honesty and good intentions.
3. Is it safe to use, with no intrusive ads or harmful content?
Safety isn’t just about security. A good tool shouldn’t have shady ads, confusing tricks, or anything that tries to take advantage of people. It should respect your time, focus, and most importantly, your faith.
4. Is it something you’d feel comfortable recommending to others?
If you wouldn’t share this tool with a friend, your sibling, or someone in your community, it probably doesn’t belong here. We’re looking for things people can trust, not just use once and forget.
5. Does it work well and feel complete (even if it’s simple)?
It doesn’t need to have tons of features or fancy design, but it should do what it says. If it’s broken, buggy, or unfinished, it’s not ready to be here just yet.
6. Is it designed with clarity, not clutter?
Design isn’t just about looks. It’s also about how easy something is to use. We’re drawn to tools that feel clean, focused, and calm. If it’s full of noise or distractions, it takes away from the experience.
7. Is it free or reasonably priced?
Not everything needs to be free. If something costs money, it should be clearly explained. No hidden fees or confusing pricing. We value transparency and accessibility.
8. If it references Qur’an or Sunnah, are the sources accurate and responsible?
Any tool that shares Islamic content should do so carefully. Whether it’s a hadith or Qur’an app, the sources should be authentic, clearly cited, and not taken out of context.
